Scripture

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. I am about to do a new thing.”
— Isaiah 43:18–19 (NRSV)

Reflection

The past has a way of holding your attention. You may revisit moments you wish had unfolded differently. You may carry regret, loss, or unanswered questions. You may wonder if what has been behind you will always define what is ahead.

Yet God speaks clearly: He is doing a new thing. New life cannot fully emerge where the past is tightly held. Release does not mean forgetting what has shaped you. It means trusting that your story is still unfolding, and that God is not finished with you.

Your past is part of your journey, but it is not your destination.

Reflection Question

What part of your past have you been holding onto, and are you willing to allow God to lead you forward?
